These are exciting times for the John J. Cali School of Music, as the program is busily reaching new levels of participation and quality. There are nearly 400 music students, over 100 faculty and staff, and most importantly – our ensembles have never sounded better.
The new Cali School building will bring a new sophistication and direction to music at MSU, and we would like as many alumni as possible to be involved in the facility’s ceremonial opening next fall in the second week of October, 2009. We are celebrating through a series of events including concerts, alumni gathers, early tours of the new building as its completion progresses, and even informal jam sessions on campus. These festivities will occur throughout the upcoming spring semester. They will be excellent opportunities to reacquaint you with the improvements to the campus, and introduce you to the new John J. Cali School of Music and its current class of students. You are a part of this celebrated and growing lineage!
If you haven't already done so, please fill our our Alumni Contact Form and the more detailed Alumni
Survey. We will inform you about upcoming concerts and events. You can also connect with old friends and program classmates through our Facebook group's page.
We are so pleased to share this excitement with you, and hope you will be able to join us in partaking in the celebrations.
